This is a complaint about Auctioneer Kenneth Miller of Cross keys auction center. I just called the auction school in search for information, as I am thinking of attending auctioneer school. I stumbled across his online website at http://www.colmillerauction.com/Home and it said he attended Reisch auctioneer school and he also attended several other auctioneer schools, so since he attendended several schools, then I felt he would be a good person to give me his honest opinion.

I am a woman, and it is not common for woman to become auctioneers. Ken Miller answered the telephone. I asked for Ken Miller, and the man said in a rude voice, "YOU GOT EM!" I then went on to explain to him that I was searching for references of graduates of the schools that I am looking to attend. Auctioneer Ken Miller, then on to insult me and yell at me and even called me names. He then hung up the phone on me.

I have NEVER in my entire life been treated so poorly by another human being in my entire life as this man Ken Miller of Pa and Cross keys auctioneer school treated me. Men are not suppose to yell and curse at woman as Ken Miller did to me. This auctioneer Ken Miller is a disgusting human being. Do not hire him as your auctioneer. Every auctioneer that I interviewed was very helpful except Ken Miller. He should be ashamed of himself for yelling at a woman. It would not surprise if a backgound check revealed that he physically beats up woman.

Auctioneer Ken Miller yelled at me, cursed at me, belittled me, humuliated me, then hung up on me, while trying to intimidate me from attending auctioneering school.

Do not hire auctioneer Ken Miller of Cross Keys auction center of 295 Emerald Drive, Duncansville, PA . He is a dishonest auctioneer and he abuses woman.

  1. I used to attend his auction house but the older he's gotten the less socialable he's become. Any question by a customer will result in a rude response. Time for him to pack it up and head to Florida. Unless your one of his regulars that buys up anything and everything guaranteeing you'll never get a good deal on anything but garbage.

  2. To accuse someone you dont knoe personally of woman abuse is disgusting to yourself. Maybe he was busy with someone and got your call in the middle of it or thought you were some telemarketer. Col. Miller is a well-known and reputable auctioneer that does his job and doesnt want bothered with extra stress. He is older and has been in the business for many many years and prolly just cant handle all the extra stress. Knowing him threw his auctions he always was the kind of person to joke around n wanted things his way or the highway. Im surprised another person would accuss him or abuse because u talked to him on the phone, really?!?! Thats ridiclous!!!

  3. My husband attended several of his auctions. In his opinion, Miller is a genuine ass. My husband agrees he should pack it up and move to Florida. The person above defending him seems pretty ridiculous also. I guess the woman must have deserved being sworn at for causing the stress of the telephone ringing.

  4. I too find Col. Miller to be a bit grumpy at times, but to suggest a man beats a women based on a reaction to being bothered by a phone call suggests something of yourself.

  5. I am not a personal friend of Ken Miller but I have been to enough auctions to know his personality well enough. He can be short, it even when someone asks a question or screws up, I have yet to see him be blatantly rude with anyone. He often jokes around with the crowd. If he answered the phone "YOU GOT EM!" that is absolutely his personality. I have called the auction house before, had him answer the phone 100% the same way, and there was no negative tone in his voice. Honestly, I seriously question the legitimacy of the original poster's story because, based on personal experience, there is no way he would act this unprofessionally for no reason. To say a single phone call was the worse experience the original poster has ever had is a bit much to believe. To take it a step further, it is in my opinion that Ken Miller should report the original poster for libel and defamation, straight up. Even if he was rude on the phone, to ignorantly make those comments is absolutely ridiculous and personally removes all possible credibility to the original story. I believe something may have happened, but it certainly is not the version or complete story as is initially told. It is absolutely a lie and absolutely libel and defamation to say his business as an auctioneer is dishonest, which again has NOTHING to do with a phone call even if he was rude.

I also want to touch on the fact that you will only find junk at his auctions. Again, this is absolutely untrue. It will be my opinion that the "husband" either was not paying attention to what he was buying and bought a small lot of random items, or had absolutely no idea what he was looking at or where to find value. He sells everything that was in a house, big and small, lots of small random items to highly valuable collectables. I have yet to go to an auction that did not have valuable collectables, and often I can not believe how absolutely rock bottom prices items of value go for.

  6. Boo Hoo. It is appears that the complainant is somewhat disingenuous providing limited one-sided information about her purported contact with this man. Because she is obviously angry, it is equally obvious that she omitted relevant information to bolster her position. She characterizes him as an evil person; but she should take a look at herself ... going out of her way to anonymously post possibly slanderous information about another person in an attempt to damage his business. If he sold her a bad service or product, that might be something to complain about; but it looks like she's one of those angry people who just waits around to be insulted and then, oh man, then she's going to get even -- And guess what, she doesn't even have to give her name, complete information, or even held accountable for her slanderous misdeeds. Talk about evil ...

  7. I just had Col. Miller come pick up all sorts of items from my Parent`s estate. I`m sorry you felt him "old and grumpy" back in 2011, because he wasn`t that way with me and it`s 2015! He joked with me and told me all kinds of information, stories and problems with dealing with some people. He even told me how he feels he has to get away now and then and goes to Florida with his wife a few months out of the year! He suggested I take care of myself and do the same! This doesn`t sound like the person others were describing! Maybe he had a bad day or was just irritated at your questioning, but whatever happened between the 2 of you should not be written in a public forum with presumptuous remarks of doing a criminal background check and the possibility to find him with a record of "beating up women"!!! This man is running a business, and altho rude to make rude comments to you, it is not a reason to try and destroy his business!

  8. I just wanted too say col.Miller is a very good auctioneer and has good merchandise. Like all auctions there is some things that are broken or in need of repair .But you buy and pay as is like any auction you are saying what you want too pay .So if you feel you got cheated your the one who set the price too pay for it .I can say colonel Miller is one of the best .

  9. Women are belittled by men everyday, but don't let that disgerish you from what you want to do, my mother has always told me what comes around goes around, I believe that. Take care and Good luck.
